Dr. Harper went to medical school at University of Texas – Houston where she graduated with AOA and Humanism in Medicine with honors. Dr. Harper completed her residency and fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She received awards throughout her training for Excellence in Clinical Care and Education.  She completed several clinical trials using acupuncture for obstetrical conditions.

Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Harper worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the oil fields of West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico.

Her desire to change careers stemmed from wanting more interpersonal interactions and wanting to make a significant impact on the world. Immediately after medical school, Dr. Harper started her clinical practice in New Mexico where she created the CVS program and implemented a new perinatal grief program.

Dr. Harper moved to Colorado in 2011 to rejoin the University of Colorado Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. She enjoys supporting the northern Colorado communities, Boulder, Greeley as well as her time at Platte River Perinatal.  She also performs inpatient deliveries and consults as well as educational activities at the University of Colorado Hospitals in Aurora.

Dr. Harper is married and has two children and enjoys skiing, hiking and camping with her family.
